Community Action Funds

The SCEHSC provides its investigators with an integrated infrastructure for the resources required to develop, refine and support innovative environmental health sciences research.
The Community Action Program helps groups across Southern California address environmental health issues in their communities. While any secondary school educators, nonprofits, and community organizations can collaborate and apply, funds can only be released to 501 c3 status organizations.
Funding may be used for one year of research, data analysis, community engagement, citizen science, education or evaluation related to a local environmental health issue.

Grantees may apply for up to $5,000 and preference may be given to groups whose projects directly align with SCEHSC research. Funding will be on an rolling basis.

To apply, simply fill out the form below.
